i'll probably creep round you & get you to weld the diff when i come down to swop the gearbox internals over for me, can't see it being this side of Christmas tbhRob wrote:I can't see me breaking a driveshaft
Apparently they're pretty strong
How soon are you planning to do it?
I'd like to see how I get on at lydden before I suggest welding it

thank you sir, can't wait to pop down. Mines an early gearbox with the speed sensor, so the diffs got the speed ring on it just to be a painRob wrote:That's good then

Re: Welded diff :)
Just driven it home
About 25 miles
And it's perfect
No problems at all
Apart from parking when I got home
Had to have 2 shunts

Re: Welded diff :)
Luckily my session was dry
I managed 5.5 seconds faster than my best lap last time
I'm well pleased

Re: Welded diff :)
thanks very much for the offer, but the bank mans telling me to clear off already this month. & think it'd be dearer to courier it than if i brought it down myself, i'll just have to be patient & besides be good to meet upRob wrote:Post it to me then

Re: Welded diff :)
It's made a massive difference to mine
I expected it to be un drivable on the road!
It's a bit erratic now but that's how I like it
Time for some suspension mods now
I want to go faster!!
Same as always
